Taronga Zoo

Sydney's Zoo! I finally made it here! I have been wanting to go for so long!!!!!

First off, it is on the other side of the harbor from the city centre so I had to take a ferry (which I always find so awesome).

There are two entrances to the zoo, the low side (the harbor) and the high side. You have to start at the high side so if you come by boat you have to ride the Sky Safari up to the entrance. It was really cool to pass over the top of the zoo and see all the animals and have such a great view of Sydney City.

The first section on my stop was the reptiles and that by itself took an hour or two! This zoo is HUGE!

random peacocks walking around loose are always fun...

Komodo Dragons are pretty awesome!

The snakes at this zoo were ridiculous!

Star tortoises! OH MY GOSH I WANT ONE!!!  so cute!

The chimps were pretty chill :)

NAP TIME!

I love that you can see the city in the background.

 Elephant trainer talk...

The tiger was going crazy that day. It would not stop pacing and seemed kind of mad. Made for good pictures but I hope it is okay...

...and even more creepy, this lioness just came and sat right in front of the glass and stared at this one lady!

 can I just say, DANG!

a beautiful Snow Leopard

OMG! Pygmy hippos are so cute!!!!! I want one of those too!

Oh hey there, Timon! (I cannot resist! I love The Lion King!)

keeping toasty :)

Then I went to the seal show!

Gorillas - They are such big teasers! They know we want to look at them so they face the other way! Not cool! :P

Can you see the baby gorilla?!?!

found a nice view for a photo

"Look at me! I'm so cool, I'm in the rainforest!"

Headed back to the low side of the zoo to catch the ferry...

riding the ferry back to Circular Quay provided some amazing views and lots of great pictures!

Randomly discovered the Customs House and library...

...and it had the COOLEST floor EVER!!!! a layout of Sydney.
The UTS Tower was even in there!

don't remember the name of this building but old buildings just make me so happy :)

Going to the zoo was a great break from studying and I really enjoyed it!
