Museums and Mardi Gras

Since I didn't have that much homework the first few weeks of school, I explored some of Sydney many museums...

The first was the Powerhouse Museum which is right by where I live. The special exhibit was ABBA. Which I thought was pretty awesome. I love learning about famous people's origin stories and what it was like those first years of fame.

I totally wish I could rock these outfits!

The ABBA exhibit was awesome, but the rest of the museum was okay.

oh yeah and in the midst of all of this, I finally tried Vegemite!!!!

At first bite, it tastes alright and I was like "Not bad", but it has a weird after taste. The second bite was not good at all. Why do people eat this?!? It's not even the good kind of salty!

So next was the Mardi Gras Parade (March 5th)....we all got ready, hung out, and ended up being a little late. Bad idea. If you ever want to actually see the parade, get there early not just to get a good seat, but because after it starts police are at every entrance telling you you can't get in. LAME! Well we found a sneaky way in through a shopping centre, so success! The parade was pretty cool, but it wasn't really a Mardi Gras...I was like "Where's the beads?!?".

Next museum to visit was The Australian Museum (which is right next to Hyde Park and St. Mary's). It's more of a little kids' thing, but it had a nice Aboriginal section which was cool to look through.

lol. I like the skeleton man with all his skeleton pets.
