We decided to go on a guided tour of the wine country with a day trip set up through the UTS Union. It was about 3 hours away so it was quite a drive, but very beautiful. We took the Pacific Highway which gave us great views of the ocean and such.
me and one of my flatmates on the lovely tour bus!
On our tour we got to go to 2 wineries, 1 brewery, a cheese place, and a candy/chocolate store...
First was this winery:
lots and lots and lots of wine
our tasting table
a wine from the 1930s-40s, cork was so old it fell out so the wine has gone bad, but it was still very cool!
yep, I tried all those alcohols. I bought the pink one, mainly because it was really sweet and didn't taste like alcohol!
Afterwards we took pictures of the view...
We ate lunch at a very nice place and I just loved it because of its sign...
Next was the interesting cheese place...
The candy/chocolate place. They had some really awesome fudge flavors!
Onto our next winery, which wasn't much of a winery because we didn't try any wines just liquors.
the drinks we tried. The best was the sparkling wine that tasted like strawberry jam!
Chili Schnapps...yeah that's right. They made us try it. VERY intense!
Then finally, the brewery...
Banana Bread beer. I liked it :)
Chocolate Chili beer....it tasted interesting...
Hunter Beer Co. was the end of our Hunter Valley journey. We had a great time and I really enjoyed the views on the way home.
I love driving on the Harbor Bridge :)
Bye bye for time!
